Child Safety "All parents face the same challenges when it comes to their children's safety: whom to trust, whom to distrust, what to bellieve, what to doubt, what to fear, and what not to fear." As parents, we will always be concerned about our children's health and personal well-being, whether they are six months old or 60 years of age! It seems that weekly, on the news, we hear of children that have been neglected, abused, molested, abducted, or murdered. All of this news just helps to increase our anxiety and fears in relation to our own children {or numbs us to the reality and puts us in denial} Does this mean that we have to fear our children's safety on a daily basis? Of course not, life is too short to live in fear, but we should at least be aware of the dangers that are present in our society and take certain precautions to protect our children. There are registered sex offenders, parolees, and probationers in every neighborhood, and, those are just the people who have been caught! Federal and State statistics show that no area of the country (city, suburban, or rural) is completely safe from predators that would harm our children. Pat Collins, a Certified Agent of the Kid Safe Network and lead instructor of Stay Safe Tactics, offers a two hour Train the Parent Child Safety workshop. This two-hour presentation covers some of the common lures used by predators and instructs parents how to educate and train their own children in danger awareness and self-protection skills . Also available is a three-hour Stay Safe Kids! children's self-protection workshop for children ages 6-12. The children have a fun time while learning about danger awareness and self-protection. | Safety Tip #1 | Safety Tip #2| Child Safety Home |

“Just because we live in a ‘good neighborhood' doesn't mean that our children are immune from the dangers of predators.”
